Lemon Verbena

Lemon Verbena originates in South America where it grows to around 10 feet tall.  In cooler climates it will only get about half that size if let go.  It is rumored to have the sweetest lemon smell, like lemon candy.  The leaves are narrow and pointed and the white flowers are almost insignificant.

Spacing: Plant 3’ to 4’ apart. (Much smaller if grown in a container.)

Height: Grows 4’ to 5’ tall.  (Much smaller if grown in a container.)

How To Grow: Plant in full sun.

Outstanding Features: Lemon Verbena has many uses from teas to desserts to fragrances is even used to flavor alcoholic beverages.

Tips: Lemon Verbena likes warm moist conditions and lots of sunlight.

Uses: Culinary Herb, Garden Bed, Containers
